Founded in 1991, Mount Construction Company, Inc., is a full-service Construction, Site Improvement and Emergency Response services provider in New Jersey and the surrounding areas. Our proactive solutions cover multiple sectors spanning transportation, utilities, roadwork, bridges, construction, as well as federal, state and local governments and related industries. As a start-to-finish single source for construction requirements, Mount Construction Company, Inc.’s complete scope of services include: bridge construction; excavation and site work; water and sewer installation; storm water management systems installation; structural concrete work; milling, paving and concrete road work; demolition work; maintenance work including concrete sawing/sealing, patching, and concrete deck repairs; and emergency construction solutions. We also provide emergency response services, such as water and sewer repairs, line stops, insertion valve wet taps, infrastructure failures and emergency clean ups. In addition, we sell topsoil, fill dirt, and backhoes/loaders.

Mount Materials, LLC opened their recycling facility in January 2010. The operation sits on thirty acres in the Keystone Industrial Port Complex in Fairless Hills, PA. Mount Materials is a full-service recycling operation taking in concrete, asphalt, fill material and any Class B materials produced by our customer base. Mount Materials is a fully permitted, fully-approved facility producing state certified PennDOT No.C2A aggregate and NJDOT DGA certified material. Other products produced on site include: Recycled Crushed Concrete; Concrete Ballast; Crushed Asphalt; Recycled Custom Blends; Recycled Commercial Sub-base; NJ I-14 Recycled Material; Quarry AASHTO #57 Size (2B); Quarry AASHTO #3 Stone; Quarry AASHTO 2A Modified; and Quarry AASHTO #1 Ballast.

Harleysville Materials, LLC is a Quarry and Asphalt Plant in the heart of Montgomery County and is one of the oldest Argillite Quarries in the area -- formerly known as the S Stone Quarry in Lower Salford Township. Today we continue the rich tradition of mining in Montgomery County and expanded our operation to include a Hot-Mix Asphalt Plant. The Quarry is ideally located to serve the Delaware Valley and all points in New Jersey.

Located at our Headquarters in Berlin, New Jersey, Bull Waste & Recycling, Inc., (BW&R) is a natural fit to round out our lines of service. We work hand-in-hand with our materials businesses to offer 20, 30 and 40 yard Roll-Off containers for residential, commercial and industrial use. Disposal Services include: bulky trash; construction/demolition debris; non-friable asbestos. Our recycling services include: asphalt and concrete; roofing shingles; brush/stumps/soil. In addition, BW&R is now offering reclamation fill.

We are currently seeking Drivers with Lowboy, Roll Off and Triaxle experience. Considered a Flex Driver, your responsibility will be to operate these trucks out of multiple locations, as needed. There will also be opportunities to operate the equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to drive Lowboy, Rolloff and Triaxle Dump Trucks
  • Knowledge of all USDOT & FMCSA safety regulations
  • Maintain completed pre and post-trip DVIR
  • Perform all duties in conformance with Company’s safety and security standards

Qualification/requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience driving Lowboy, Rolloff and TriAxle trucks
  • Valid Class A CDL license
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. repeatedly
  • Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
  • Able to work evenings and weekends, if needed
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

We are currently seeking a Portable Crusher Mechanic/Operator based out of our yard in Morrisville, PA. Applicants should have experience repairing, maintaining and operating a mobile crusher. The position requires a self-starter who can troubleshoot problems and identify issues and be available to work some nights and weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with company safety policies and practices
  • Experience working at heights and outdoors in all types of weather
  • Create parts list and prioritize repairs according to demand and schedule
  • Evaluate and document repairs, system problems and perform preventative maintenance
  • Keep Crusher Operator/Foreman and Materials Superintendent apprised of repairs
  • Gather and record machine information at regular intervals to monitor performance
  • Escalate solving technical problems by communicating with the Materials Superintendent or Crusher Operator/Foreman
  • Handle problems in a professional manner during difficult high-pressure situations
  • Establish preventative maintenance schedules according to company specifications
  • Compliance with OSHA Crystalline Silica Rule regulations and procedures.

Qualification/requirements:

  • 3 years of experience operating, repairing and maintaining mobile crushers, screens
  • Able to run excavators, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, etc.
  • Welding and fabrication experience, a plus
  • Logical trouble shooting skills and capabilities to isolate and attack problems
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License, CDL a plus

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Tech with Weighmaster and Heavy Equipment Operator Experience. The position will be based out of our Mount Materials site in Morrisville, PA and will also work at our Harleysville Materials quarry in Harleysville, PA. as needed. The Quality Control Tech will also serve as the backup Scale House Weighmaster. Additional responsibilities will include operating heavy equipment as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Comply with company safety policies and practices
  • Perform tests and evaluations to ensure end products and purchased materials meet quality specifications and customer requirements
  • Make decisions based on reliable data and facts pertaining to customers, and processes.
  • Responds and follows up with customers (internal and external) to determine satisfaction, to resolve problems, to seek feedback for improvement, and to build relationships
  • Maintain bookkeeping of all results daily and communicate them to operations and management team
  • Act as backup for Scale House Weighmaster and Heavy Equipment Operators Experience as needed
  • Compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years’ experience as a Quality Control Technician
  • Certified Aggregate Technician in PA, a plus. If not, will register to obtain certification
  • 3 years’ experience as a Scale House Operator, a plus
  • 3 years’ experience operating heavy equipment, a plus
  • Proficient with statistics, communications and problem solving
  • Able to travel to and work at locations in Morrisville and Harleysville, PA as needed

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator and Laborer that has a mechanical background to join our teams in Morrisville, PA and Harleysville, PA. An ideal candidate will strive to maximize equipment run time and achieve daily production goals.

Mount Materials is seeking a Truck Washer/Parts Runner to work in their truck Blackwood, NJ yard. The Truck Washer/Parts Runner will be responsible for washing all vehicles and maintenance of the truck yard. The responsibilities will include driving company vehicles to obtain parts along with other duties as assigned. This is a great opportunity to grow within our Company!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operates wash bay to clean trucks and pieces of machinery.
  • Drives company vehicles to pick up parts and supplies.
  • Ensures equipment is functioning properly and is returned to its proper location.
  • Safely performs pushing, pulling, and lifting tasks to upwards of 100lbs or more only with the proper use of the appropriate equipment provided.
  • Follows all safety and maintenance procedures.
  • Immediately reports all incidents, accidents, unsafe work conditions, problems or concerns.
  • Participates in all mandatory training classes.
  • Maintains a clean, well-maintained and organized work area.
  • Will pursue CDL license during 90-day probation period.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification/requirements:

  • Must have valid driver’s license, CDL a plus
  • Previous experience in construction or building materials yard a plus
  • Must be able to operate pressure washer and vacuums

Mount Construction is currently seeking a full time Construction Project Engineer with 0-3 years’ experience in the Construction or Civil Engineering fields. The Construction Project Engineer is a critical role for the successful completion of infrastructure construction projects. This position is responsible for working closely with the project teams, consisting of the project managers, superintendents, field engineers, and estimators. This team is responsible to complete the planning and execution of construction tasks within the constraints of schedule, budget, and quality standards of the client. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication, time management, and organization skills for this position.

At the Mount Group, the Construction Project Engineer position allows for wide ranging development for the individual within the construction industry. The Mount Group encourages the participation in various industry related associations along with the continuing education of the employees. Many on this path of Construction Project Engineer will develop into the Project Manager role or other leadership positions.

Responsibilities of the Construction Project Engineer include but are not limited to the following:

  • Establish and maintain excellent professional relationships with clients, engineers, architects, project managers, and construction workers.
  • Complete responsibility for the document control of the project (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.).
  • Assist with project planning, including equipment and manpower.
  • Prepare engineering submittals and work plans in conformance with the project planning and specifications.
  • Complete project takeoffs and buyout of project materials.
  • Prepare and distribute project look ahead schedule and track progress for CPM schedule.
  • Participation in preconstruction, progress, and close out meetings.
  • Coordinate project changes and issues with internal and external project team.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribute project specific work plan to the project team (plans, specifications, list of subcontractors and vendors, project budget, etc.).
  • Review, verify and approve subcontractor invoices, verify field measurements.
  • Coordinate scheduling with subcontractor.
  • Coordinate invoices to customers, including follow-up, verification of payments, payment dates.

Applicant requirements:

  • Minimum 0-3 years’ experience in construction or civil engineering related to road, bridge and site improvement projects.
  • Minimum 0-3 years’ using construction related computer software (HCSS HeavyBid, HCSS HeavyJob).
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work well within a high paced and energetic environment as part of the project team.
